This pretty much happened when I moved back into my apartment. I don’t eat much sugar at all when I’m buying my own food. And I don’t buy soda. I do get a little sugar in my cereal at breakfast, and I sometimes eat pancakes or waffles, but I use a low-sugar syrup when I do. I’m okay with a little sugar. I’m eating way less than I was when I made this goal. So yeah, I’ve succeeded.

I’ve not had a Pepsi since my last entry. I’ve found a decent soft drink alternative. It is called Fresca. It has no sugar and no calories, and it still tastes quite good. How is this possible? I checked for shady ingredients (like Splenda, which for some reason I just don’t trust) but they all seemed okay. The strangest ingredient was some sort of wood rosin (if I remember correctly), and that sounds natural enough. I’ll eat wood if it tastes like soda pop.
So I ran today for the first time since I have been home, and boy do I have a long way to go. I barely managed to jog a mile before I had to start walking. Will I be able to make it up to five miles in two months before I go back to school? I think I will. If the weather permits, of course.
