swim under a waterfall
When in the jungle...

I went to Thailand on holiday and had a great swim under a waterfall in Phuket. The water was a little milky but…it tasted fine. o.O

Definitely worth doing, just for fun or as a weight loss thingy – the current makes it pretty hard to swim so it’s more of a challenge!

Just be careful when jumping in because there may be shallow rocks etc. My Aunt-to-be hurt her back that way.

write a novel
NaNoWriMo

A great motivational tool and also something fun to do is to enter NaNoWriMo – that is, National novel writing month. It happens in November, registration in October. You can monitor your progress and keep up with other authors. Also, the forums are just the thing to cure writers’ block.

Of course, speedwriting a novel in one month can end up being a bit messy, so thank goodness for NaNoEdMo – National Novel Editing Month!

And yes, it says national, but it isn’t really. I don’t live in the US and I’ve entered twice. And failed. But I’m going to keep trying!

I think the web address is www.nanowrimo.org, but you should Google it just in case.

sit in silence sometimes
Untitled

Sometimes the highlight of a shite day can be a quiet moment sitting in a windowsill, just before sunset, watching cats playing outside.
