Hey guys, I’ve recently decided to try a buddy system with this personal goal.
The point is that you have to report to someone every week about how well you have been working on accomplishing your goal. You set some tasks first, then you work on them hard, and in the end of the week you meet / call your “learning buddy” and confess to them.
My tasks are:
- write my diet for the next day (daily)
- prepare what can be prepared of the meals (daily)
- write down what I have been eating throughout the day (daily)
- buy some tupperware (this weeks special)
- plan my reward and punishment for sticking to / breaking the plan for each day
It makes some pressure on you. I’m trying it only for a few days now, but you my try it out too. Maybe it will get you going.
Good luck everyone!
damn it! anytime I’m getting near my maximum I get ill or get short on money…
this sucks so much!
So I downloaded a software for this today, for Slovak speaking people ( http://www.jjppsoft.szm.com/ ).
I consider this goal accomplished after finishing the whole course.
Every single winter holidays I lose weight. I don’t know how, it just happens, maybe because of all that fat food that my body burns so fast, anyway it’s even more depressing, when everybody tells me, how they’ve gained weight and got fat!!! It’s one of the most annoying situations in my life…
This Christmas holidays I’m decided to change that, I’ll eat my ass off!!!
Bon apetit all of you!
My goal is at least 111,15cm large chest. (I calculated this odd number with some perfect body proportions guide or so, I’m 187cm tall.)
I have gone to a furniture dep. store and was looking at all the great BoConcept etc. stuff and was thinking if I only had more money so I could afford more of this goodness for our house.
You know most of the really nice things are expensive. If someone says You can’t buy happiness, it depends on what makes you happy, but in general, happiness is the most selling one of all the goods..
When I registered to 43T my number one goal was to get a job, so I could afford more food, a gym, maybe trainer and some supplements. So I did. I worked for McDonald’s for almost 5 years. It was fine, lots of fun, meeting new people, the money was great. Then I promoted to floor manager after some time, the pay was even better, the job got more interesting, it was a chance to learn things which I could use elsewhere in the future. But (there’s always a BUT, isn’t there?), so… but the hours got longer, I had to work night shifts, and even if I had virtually unlimited access to any food there, I stopped gaining weight. It’s hard to believe, but it’s pretty complicated to gain weight from MCD food for me, it’s junk, it comes in and comes out. Strong cheap taste – no nutritional value. Then I started to lose weight.
So I quit, I’ve done that prior to end of September. I’ve never ever after eaten any of the food from there. I try to fix my sleeping habits. And well, I started finally to gain some weight again!
The lesson I’ve learned is: don’t let your job take control of you, and also: don’t eat at McDonald’s, if you want to gain quality weight!
That’s it I think…
I’ve got this old mattresses lying around my room and can’t make some time to get rid of them…
Starting all over, that’s what I do pretty often. I lose my motivation, and then I get some new, then I lose it again.
But some few weeks ago, my friend (used to be my trainer), when I was talking about how I got sick and couldn’t work out, or how I had 4 night shifts and couldn’t eat properly… He told me: There’s always SOMETHING! Get over it!
And I realised he’s absolutely right. There was, is and always will be something getting in my way, and I should start counting with that when planning anything.
Maybe this is the break point of my life, when I can get on track and never more fall of it.
I wish all of you luck in gaining weight, because changing yourself is always the hardest part.
This is a photo my table. I don’t spend much time there, but this is going to change since I want to move the PC here.
In the picture there are several marks. The red ones signalise the things I’d like to get rid of. With yellow is marked everything I’m not sure ‘bout it, like if to keep it or not, maybe only redesign it, change the colour of the thing. And finally green marks are over everything I’d like to add there.
As you see there is the PC marked with green. I’d like to put a PDA cradle on the table also, and there’s a lamp you can’t see in the photo. On the left should be a waste bin.
The chair marked yellow isn’t that ugly, but it isn’t my style. I’m not sure if I should keep it or buy a new one. Because new chair is a pretty big investment. You know.
Then I’d like to ask you, all of you, for help. If you read my post and have an idea what and how to change, just share it with me and others.
Thank you very much.
Well my room looks almost like eight years ago, when I was 11 / 12. There are many small things I don’t really need, mess everywhere. And the room has no real design idea. I have gathered many ideas about what to do about it. But some are too expensive, so they have to wait until I will get a new job (this autumn I hope).
But now I can start with organizing my room. And looking for new ideas, so if you have any ideas, leave comment please.
I’m going also to post here photos of my room, so you can tell me what you think I should change.
I’ve got it. It was pretty expensive, but it’s worth the money. My new keyboard Logitech DiNovo Edge.
Well I have now my digital camera so I’m starting today with a challenge, and if I can keep taking pictures (at least one a day) till 31st of July, I assume this goal as accomplished.
But I’m not sure what I will shoot… Please, give me some ideas. Thnx.
At first I was strictly against digitalisation of anything, but then after pressure that my family and my friends put on me, I has changed my mind and has decided to get a digital camera (I still don’t own a cell phone, so I’m not spoiled absolutely :) ). Even when this digital miracle can’t replace the old-fashioned cameras it has some pros. Like the way how easily you can show pictures to people miles away, and it is absolutely smaller at least the mine… (I am now a proud owner of Olympus μ840 which is, indeed, quite small device.)
4th – as me, she thinks people should do the job as it should be done, not as they feel
5th – I like how she has trusted me in things she doesn’t know about much
6th – she is a strong person which has had a pretty bad childhood (and survived it)
7th – she’s not mean, she knows how to spend money
8th – she loves me (whatever happens)
9th – that she travels, knows and in generally is well educated, I can’t stand people to whom you have to explain everything
10th – her power to say NO
Well I found out that my lazines combined with a big lag of motivation keep me losing weight.
Idk what to do about my laziness at the moment, but…
I do know how to suppres the absence of motivation. I downloaded new workout log for my PDA, and a new diet log, well even if I want to gain weight I have to stick to some kind of diet, which this software helps me to keep track of. It is really helpful, I never realized how few meals I consume each day and what it is compared to my energy expense. Anyway, the point is, I have to keep buying new shiny things to stay motivated… as next I plan to buy a new weightmachine, a digital one instead of the old one I have.

Yeah I’m going to try it with these manuals from the web, maybe I can do it.
Cross fingers :)
I’ve never really realised that my mother does, what she thinks is the right thing to be done. It may be not, but she believes it. She wasn’t going to the 1st May celebrations, even when it was prescript during communist government. And she could have problems.
3. her conscientiousness
Every time I think about my mother I remember a day, when I was kid and she spent the whole day with me. We were playing with Lego and we were laughing and… Well it was a regular day, nothing special, but I think it was one of the days I will remember forever.
2. the funny times she gave me… and I hope she will give me even more
There’s one problem…
I have chosen a restaurant it’s near my school, very centre of the city. Pretty expensive I would say. And I have also written a list of people which I might go there with. And there’s a girl, I would like to take her there the most. But! Here’s the problem: because it’s such costly restaurant it might look like a serious date if I would pay it, but I can’t want her to pay the food she might eat, because I chose the place. I mean she’s really great girl, it’s fun to hang out with her, but I don’t want to make it a relationship, like Relationship.
Well, this is not really a “sushi-problem”, it is much more a “oh-those-other-people-problem”.
