A friend on LJ said that they went horse swimming when younger at a camp. They recommended that all should do it. It totally sounds worth doing unlike plain bareback riding.

How I did it: Cut my hair. It worked unconsciously, as it did a few years back. Best tip: Do not have any hair close to the front of the face that it situated closer to where your hand naturally places itself in times of lethargy and boredom. Read how I did it…
I let my new birds out in my room to fly around. The higher the perch availability the harder to catch them, being that they’re wings are not clipped yet. So they roamed around the room for nearly two days and the least I could do was get them into my HUGE WALK IN closet (not some little box), where the shelves were lower in hopes that I could catch them. I’ve found that toweling is the best best but it’s not easy when there are no low perch areas. So finally, my mom found a net with a long stick attached to it. relief The only setback was the humidity in the closet if I left the light on but I did that thinking they needed to see, until my mom mentioned otherwise. They also weren’t eating but I managed to get them to do that in the first day by setting the food at high altitudes also.
Side Drama:I have to remember that I am a moody bitch at times. And I let the smallest shit get to me for years. I’m like the store clerk in the movies Clerks who blames the externals for his life situations, and, sadly, past situations that happened 5-7 years ago. That is changing though. I’m sure the news about me saying to my mom, in the heat of passion, “I don’t care if they die” got around to my cousin, who’s had to put up with more than enough of my imbecility. I noticed how I’ve been snapping at my whole family, and I see the dynamic of it now, and now know how to act accordingly. I’m just mostly frusturated with myself, but that’s nor much of an excuse for snapping at everyone, neither are my breakdowns that I’ve been having daily for the past week, that of which has nothing to do with the major incident going on now.
I made a mistake when I adopted them. I didn’t ask the former caretaker anything about the birds like their age, sex, personalities, etc. And I haven’t named them yet.
Mom, my sister, and I are going to the pet store sometime this week to get there wing clippings and by a new perch since one of them is very unstable. We already went out for some new toys and a water bottle which hasn’t stayed put, another minor technical difficulty.
Most importantly, Lissa, my sister, noticed that the yellow love bird has been hiding out under the water tray or just hanging out in a corner of the cage and this has been so for that past few days. An indication of sickness. My speculations on this has probably to do with the closet incident, and them eating the newspaper beneath them. Also, I don’t know if they’re feeling odd since no one was in the house this past weekend.
