With a list of other things to do which are much more time consuming and rewarding, I have taken defeat on this one. I am finding Python much more valuable to me in my daily life than php so Django is a more worthy framework to spend time learning

My partner is Peruvian but her English is almost flawless so we find ourselves speaking in English mostly, though I try and speak as much as I can in Spanish and constantly ask how to say this, how to say that. I have tried learning a word a day from a Spanish dictionary but it didn’t last long. Spending most days in front of the computer, I found the best resource for me is http://spanish.about.com/ and specifically, their “lessons by email” and a word a day by email. I then type a short email trying to use that word in another context to her.. with some funny results ;)
