Such a difficult question. Initially it sounds simple, but when you stop to really consider it, it’s hard to choose just one answer. Some days I feel so ignorant, like a child. When I think of the wisdom of children I picture my older nephew, Abraham. He’s 3 years old right now, and sometimes he says the most amazing things. Other days, I feel 60 years old – like my life has already passed me by and I’m content to simply sit and watch. If someone had asked me this question when I was fighting cancer, I would have picked a very old age. I remember when my mom would take me to my daily radiation appointments and everyone would stare openly at me because everyone else in the waiting room was above 50. Those were my old years, my lost childhood. Cancer ages you inside, gives you wisdom you never asked for. It makes you appreciate life. Right now, I’m 19 years old but I believe I would say I’m 14. My body is still young – I look young. And I still feel joy like a child, still laugh openly and loudly and often. I still love being in love and want to be surprised by life and experience new things. I still make mistakes like a 14-year-old.

How I did it: It took a long time to decide on every detail, but I designed everything about my tattoo, and it turned out amazing. I visited every local tattoo shop, and weighed the pros and cons of each shop. It mattered very much to me that the shop and the tattoo artist have great reputations, and that they are clean and professional. Lastly, I invited my friends to come with me and watch, but I didn't hold anyone's hand. I wanted to do this indepen… Read how I did it…
How I did it: This took me a little over two years to accomplish. I didn't think it would take me so long, or that it would be so hard to find facts to write about myself! But I loved the way it made me consider myself, and look at myself from different angles. Although these are simply facts about myself, I feel like I got to know myself better and I'd like to continue this exercise! Read how I did it…
How I did it: In my mind, I had really wanted to make pancakes with my boyfriend at my house, but we ended up making them at his house with his dad and his brother. I've never had pancakes with any fruit besides blueberries, but the bananas tasted great c: we even got adventurous and added peaches! LOL. It was totally worth it. The Jack Johnson music just made it better. Read how I did it…

I am so excited for this summer. I have the opportunity to go with a friend and help another friend move to California, since he’ll be going to school there this fall. I don’t know the guy we’re helping move, or even the other people going on the trip, but my friend Jordan does and he’s asked me to come along. I’ll take any chance I get to go down to California and not only see the ocean, but hopefully swim in it! We’ll go in the middle of June, so it should be the perfect temperature to lay out on the beach and have fun. I can’t wait – I’m finally going to get to see the ocean!
Now that I’m home for the summer from college, I don’t see Audrey. And I doubt that I’ll see her much, if at all, next school year since we won’t be living in the same dorm.
Benton is left. After a month of ignoring me, avoiding the subject, and even stating that he didn’t have anything to apologize for, he finally called and apologized to me this weekend. Now he wants us to be fast friends again, and he even invited me to go to Toronto with him in early June. I can’t believe he wants me to go with him – he thinks I will sit in a car with him for hours after how much he has hurt me. We haven’t talked since then. I took a picture that reminded me of him and was tempted to send it to him, but I didn’t. I’m holding strong. Our friendship is over.
