How I did it: last week, i wrote an entry saying how i wanted a typewriter and that i missed my old one. dan and i went to value village four days later, and just as they made their "the store is closing, please check out" announcement, we both turned to each other with a typewriter. mine was this epic, extremely old one that came with its own suitcase. his was this weird electronic thing that ran on 4 giant batteries. we opted to get mine since batter… Read how I did it…
i definitely need one of these in my apartment.
i used to have this sweet turquoise one, but my mom left it at the old house when we moved, thinking i didn’t want it D:
this house is just a magnet for clutter. i know a lot of people’s houses suffer the same problem, so it shouldn’t be that big of a deal, but i am sick of having corners filled with stuff and things piled on tables.
SO i want to focus on one area for a small amount of time each day. i want to get rid of things. i want to throw out old junk mail, i want to donate things we no longer use (or ever used). i want to say “no thank you” when my cousin brings over bags of her junk for us to sort through.
i just want a presentable space in which i can relax and not be surrounded by piles that scream out FIX ME whenever eyes wander over to them.
