Having grown up spending my summers on an island in the St. Lawrence River in Canada, I developed a deep connection with the natural world. Having moved away for work, I discovered how much I truly need this connection to fresh water, rocks, and woods.
Beginning 2 years ago, I spend 2 weeks alone (most of the time) in a quiet natural setting. And it revives my spirit like nothing else!
Making time to hike in nearby parks or trails will help me maintain that connection more frequently.
I aim to spend less time and energy conforming to the needs, wants, and goals of others (many times it’s only my perception of what I assume others want of me) and more time living my own life to the full! I just know that as soon as I begin fulfilling my dreams and desires, the pain that has plagued my mind, soul, and body will disappear.
I look forward to becoming a joyful, peaceful, authentic woman.
