Recent entries
spend at least 10 minutes every day cleaning, organizing or decluttering
10-15 mins a time... 1 day ago
...and 4-6 of these when i get home from work. and another set later in the evening. i set kitchen timer.
i first deal with hotspots, 20% under control now. sometimes that’s the only thing i do for an hour or two, going from one room to another, clearing hotspots for 15 min.
lately:
  • i defrost and cleaned the fridge
  • cleaned kitchen floor thoroughly after a long time.
  • reorganised the pantry – food that what was at several scaterred places: i emptied one conviniently positioned bookshelf and turned it to pantry (cookbooks remained). one more shelf to do.
  • regained the kitchen table again last night! i can see tablecloth again ;-)


Decorate my home (read all 30 entries…)

...hung clean curtains on dirty windows…yuck! well, noone is perfect. it is that i’ve changed color sheme and orange curtains really clashed with it. so i washed white curtains and hang it, who cares! i can’t wash windows in the dark, anyhow… maybe next Sat.

i have some color glassware that clashes with my china, both of them. yesterday i had the idea to group glassware of similar color together for some occasions. and now i have idea to connect disparate glassware with matcing table-cloth, candles and other decoration.

shifed to 5th gear 1 day ago

i extended the deadline for this goal to be no1 priority in my life for one more month becouse of Xmass. i want to do as much as possible in each zone before i give up this goal = i need to get a life!

so i’m giving this one more try. i was up late last night doing as much as i could after the choir rehersal. (i stayed awake since i was angry to our substitute conductor, i don’t want to work with him any more, he acted unprofessionaly on several occasion.)

i want to achieve visible result so i need to invest many hours. we need. i told my SO that i’ll give up on this if i’m the only one who cares about the home. he reassured me that he cares too.
{i want to feel like living with an adult. so i remind constantly to act like that (and like one lol) and be patient.}
it is high price but it is worth it. i only hope intend – after 5 years of decluttering and giving all i had to this goal – i’ll finnaly start to get visible results.

i have hard time parting with extra things, i need to find a way to overcome this. i need to coordinate amount of stuff with space available.
