I’m writing this entry as one of my many “breaks” at work. I don’t hate my job, but I don’t love it either. People I’ve read or heard from who do love their jobs say it doesn’t feel like work to them – they look forward to it and it engrosses them. Life is too short. Just as I wouldn’t settle for anything except real love and commitment in a romantic relationship, why should I settle for less than real commitment in my career? Either I’ve got to learn to buckle down and use my hours at work constructively towards the task at hand (and not cram after hours or on weekends), or I should find that job that I can feel passion about…
