I learned a little html in high school on my own, but I lost interest at one point and then never retained what I taught myself. So I signed up for some formal training and so far so good.

And I would like to go and see all of the historical sights of the city before I move too far away to drive there for the weekend. I have made brief stops in Philly in the past, but pretty much passing through on business with no time to explore.
I finally did it! I performed in my first musical this past weekend and it was an amazing experience. I was a shy, self-conscious girl in high school (still kinda am); I would audition but never get a part. Although I never got the chance back then, my love for musical theater and desire to be apart of it persisted. Finally several years later, I took an acting class and started to go on auditions again. I was very nervous about both, but these things really helped me start to gain the confidence I needed and I finally got my first part.
I just want to encourage all those who can relate to my past of rejection and urge you to believe in yourself: if it’s something you really want to do, keep trying and you will get there! Auditions can be scary, but don’t let the intimidation get to you. Just prepare well and give it all you got.
