This is a great goal! I made my first shirt at 19 years old. Though out the years I’ve made my own clothes and well as dance and halloween costumes for my daughter. I don’t sew as much now as in the past. I still use the 1973 Kenmore I bought when I started. Still runs great.

I learn to do this, but I don’t use cables much in my knitting. However, I’m glad I taught myself. It’s easier than it looks.

I grew up with an aunt that knitting all the time. I knew the basic stitches but couldn’t read a pattern. Finally, I found a book called “Teach Yourself to Knit” by Evie Rosen. I maked a pullover sweater, that looks very good!
