My boyfriend got me a “made in italy” pasta maker for Christmas, and it really is one of the best presents that anyone has given me. I can’t wait to make all sorts of pastas from it, and best of all give it to my friends and family!!!

How I did it: I told my parents the truth, that I was living with my boyfriend who doesn't conform to their standards on the race, religion, occupation front.I had hid the fact i had a boyfriend from my parents for the whole 3 years we were seeing each other ( living interstate from my parents made it a little easier). They blew up. They wouldn't not accept or support the reality. They went further and told me that if I didn't leave him and return home … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was really scared that I had to move interstate in Janurary 2009 at the beginning of the "Global Financial Crisis" of the GFC as it's trendy name. I had started job hunting, and it was hard. There were definantly less jobs being advertised, and less jobs in industries that I preferred. I knew I had to be serious about it, so i signed up to a few key recruting agencies ( frenemy...and necessary) who had me " on their list" and kept in co… Read how I did it…
How I did it: As apart of my "get fit" plan, I detoxed. I didn't crash-detox like you hear with the lemon detox diet (although I did try it..and didn't succeed. I just can't fathom the idea of having nothing but lemon and syrup for a week!!!). I started by cleaning out my fridge and pantry. I gave away all the bad stuff - chocolate slabs, cookies, chip packets ice cream and made a vow that if it doesn't grow on trees, or used to move - I won't eat it. … Read how I did it…

Okay, so I’m a self confessed wannabe cook and chef. I completely adore the likes of Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Nigella Lawson, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall to name a few. I have a stack of cook books from these people and more and I really enjoy cooking. I think it all kind of began when I was 7 or 8. My mother always believed that there is no reason that women should not be able to cook. It wasn’t so much a pre-dated non-feministic view, but on the contrary. It was more her view (and now mine as well) that being able to cook is liberating and about being self sufficient. I think that I’ll start with a few traditional recipes that my mother taught me and see where that takes me. :)
