in november, a group of us tried fugu for the first time at shiki on lower queen anne in seattle. it literally has no taste… completely clean. unsure what i was expecting regarding taste but that was not it.

With our cathartic xmas trees in tow, Jamie and I met at Golden Gardens Wednesday night to send them on. As the first one went ablaze, a group of high school (ok, maybe college) boys ran over and started snapping pictures. Boys can be so easily impressed…

Saw it last night at the Seattle Opera and whereas it was not the best opera I’ve seen (though the first since I moved to Seattle six years ago) it was completely worth it. Mozart is just dreamy though he might have been rolling in his grave due to the uptightness of the production.
