How I did it
How I did it: My spouse and I saved money for about a year and nine months, then it took us four months to find the right house (and one that wasn't taken off the market when we were about to make an offer). It took us four more months to get the offer hammered out and have our closing. It was a very stressful time, but so worth it. I have to wait until I’m living in a house to adopt a greyhound and I should be moving into the house I’m buying by the end of this month or beginning of next month. I plan to wait a few months to get a dog so I can settle into my home and fix up the yard.
