learn to dance
A Suggestion! 3 years ago

I may take jazz this year. I’ve been inspired by 80s dance movies. :D

(And may I recommend an 80s dance movie party for inspiration… Include-at least-Footloose, Flashdance, and Dirty Dancing. They’ll get you moving.)

go to Italy
Done! 3 years ago

This I have done! I went for six weeks to take Beginning Italian, and it was fantastic! Florence is an incredible place, and I can’t wait to go back. :)

I’m working on it. I AM! :)

I have now taken Beginning Italian in Italy. :) I hope to improve my skills significantly in the future—in Italy. :D

see the northern lights
Northern Lights 3 years ago

I’ve seen them from southern Ontario and from North Dakota. They aren’t as impressive from those places as they are in the pictures, but they’re still pretty amazing. I’d love to see them as vividly as they are pictured here!

grow my hair

It becomes way too much work when too long or too short. For me, at least!

Procrastination is key! :D

Nothing like that little extra stress as a motivator! Besides, I do my best work under pressure. :D

Find new (to me) music I love

...Big Dume! I like ‘em. They’re pretty new, you know, and have a really interesting sound.

If that helps, fantastic! If not, just ask me for other suggestions! I’m a veritable fount of musical eclecticism! (Is that a word? Well, as an English major, I pronounce it so, from this moment on. Because I can.) :D

Become More Politically Active.
Yes... 4 years ago

...I’d say it’s worth doing.

However, when the candidate that you are whole-heartedly supporting (if this is your form of political involvement) turns out to be a lunatic, you feel really, really foolish. ;)

go to college
If... 4 years ago

...you enjoy having every value system or thought process you’ve ever experienced torn apart before your eyes, then, yes, college is fantastic.

Actually, it’s quite eye-opening, and has done a world of good for my critical-thinking abilities (which still aren’t very impressive). In any case, YES, college is SO worth it. I can’t wait for the rest of it, and for the grad school afterwards! :)

Meet William Shatner
Well... 4 years ago

Okay, so I didn’t MEET him. But he definitely smiled at me. :D

get my teeth whitened

Crest Whitestrips are delightful, if you enjoy swallowing slimey blobs of bleach-laced goo. Or if you enjoy forgetting about them until you’re about to go to bed and then having to stay up for an extra half hour.

However, yes, it is worth it to have pearlier whites!

Give up having resentments
Untitled 4 years ago

It’s good to have some resentment to fuel one’s darkly humorous cynicism, I find. ;)

get a 4.0 semester GPA
Untitled 4 years ago

Oh, I did it! For the first (and probably the last) time! But I did it, and it was wonderful. :D
