When someone asked me to remember the last time I was truly, happy, and stress free (as in happy individually.. not including having my daughter of course).
The happiest memory I really had was while I was living in the UK, I travelled to France by myself. I thought about giving away my plane tickets because my boyfriend and I had split up, and It didn’t cross my mind to travel alone on holiday. After my sister in the US convinced me to go by myself… I left London and headed for Paris..solo.
The memory that brings me so my individualistic/private happiness was during my forced extended stay in Nice (American credit card issues.. another story).
I sat on the boardwalk, under one of those white valances you see in postcards, with my feet up, writing in my journal.
Families scurried or strolled past me, some very burgeios, some thoughtful, some a bit chaotic and oblivious to their surroundings.
I stared out into the Mediterranean, watching someone throw a stick for this dog. The dog was playing in the turquoise warm sea water for at least 1 1/2 hours.
All I could think was this dog didn’t have a clue as to how lucky she was.

How I did it: I started out in student government in college. I spoke first for small groups, and then began lobbying at the state and federal level. When I gained confidence doing this in small groups, I began volunteering to speak at large events, for things that weren't stressful for me. Fun events were the best to start with. Later in the professional world I began to volunteer to train people one on one, later small groups and eventually assisting… Read how I did it…
I really do have visions of what I want my living room to look like. I can picture it in various angles, re arranged, or even different sizes.
I want lots of lighting/depth, creams and white. Thick white throw rugs, White tables and shelving. White lamps, with soft bulbs. Creme throws. Cascading white lights from various corners/walls. Everywhere. I like the idea of splashing some color in it every once in awhile, and rest of the time just keeping in very minimal white/creme.
It’s been a bit harder to do in my current house, because I wasn’t sure if I was going to sell, or be able to keep it. Additionally I need a new white/creme colored couch, preferrably with a chaise.
Soooo this is one of my first visions of decorating
