He ws my greatest joy, my deepest pain, my most wretched grief and my biggest loss.
We broke up months and months ago and he ceased all contact with me on 13 April.
I miss him terribly, and I think of him every day.
One day I will love him less.

See now, this is linked in with my other entry, which is the weight loss one. Cos, it took me like nearly my whole life to work out that if you want to lose it, ya gots to move it!
I mean, I’ve always belonged to a gym of some description. Whether I’ve actually used my membership or not is the debatable point. Most of the time, I figured I’d get the benefits by osmosis. You know, sign up, sit back, and get fit without actually going. Poisonally, I blame my blonde hair for being an idiot sometimes :D
Anyhow, for the past 6 months I’ve formed a gym routine and I ty and stick to it. Even if I don’t feel like going, I make myself go, even if I don’t work out as hard as normal. Cus once I break my routine, I’m cactus.
Here’s a typical week:
Monday
6am: treadmill for 45 mins. Brisk walk (up to 7kms/hour); interval training (run for a minute, walk for a minute, ad nauseum); hill training.
Tuesday
6am: 50 minute spinning class.
7pm: Body Balance for strength and flexibility
Wednesday
6am: 50 minute spinning class.
1730: massage (yes!it’s important for muscles and mental health!)
Thursday
6am: 50 minute spinning class OR treadmill (as above)OR sometimes I sleep in (ssshhh)
Friday
walk to work (50 minutes)
Saturday
Incidental exercise (walks, swim, etc)
1600: Body Balance
Sunday
Incidental exercise (walks, swim, etc)
I always exercise in the morning cos I’m one of those annoying morning people. If I’m feeling particularly fat and horrible, I’ll also go to the gym in the evening once or twice a week for a spin class or cardio and maybe one on Saturdays or Sundays.
In summer, I swim a lot, I’m always at the beach. And now winter’s setting in, the ski season is about to start and I love, love, love that.
So what I need to do now is keep up my routine. And this is a handy place to record it all for posterity :D
Hokay, so I started out 18 months ago and little by little, I’ve whittled away nearly 30 kilograms. That’s a serious amount of weight to lose and it hasn’t been easy.
However, I’m extremely frustrated at the moment because I’m exercising like a banshee, eating sparingly and I still can’t shift the last 5 kgs.
I mean, what’s a girl to do?! I’ll be happy at 62 kgs. My BMI will be below 25, I’ll be a sz 10 for sure, and no unhealthy fat on my bum and tum.
Just 5 kgs.
Chicken feed compared to what I’ve already lost.
But all of a sudden it seems the road is longer and harder than it’s ever been.
