With a semester left to go, here’s what I’ve visited so far:
*Brooklyn Bridge (walked across it)
*Central Park (been there loads of times)
*Dakota Apartments (walked past dozens of times. Not because it’s the Dakota, just because I was in the area. Wouldn’t want to actually go inside, it’s just an apartment building)
*Grand Central Terminal (taken a train or two in my time)
*Low Memorial Library (walk past it every day, usually multiple times a day. Been to a few events inside)
*Metropolitan Museum of Art (absolutely love it)
*NYPL (did you know? they have museum exhibits inside. I went to one about French literary culture during the Holocaust)
*Philosophy Hall (CUIT used to be there. It’s where the writing center is. I’ve been to a few events in the grad student lounge there too)
*Plaza Hotel (I’ve walked past it dozens of times. I don’t think I could actually get inside without a reservation though)
*Pupin Physics Lab (well…I had class there for four semesters)
*Rockefeller Center (I’ve seen the tree! And wandered around inside a few times)
*Snug Harbor (I wandered around once and then got caught in torrential rain while in their gardens. it was pretty cool, though)
*Union Square (this was a favorite of mine for freshman and sophomore year outings)
Additionally, I suspect I’ve ridden through the Holland Tunnel. I’m not entirely sure, though.
I’ve got an unlimited subway pass for the week. Now that I have this goal, I think it’s time to wander the city.
