After spending money that I didn’t have in college, demoting myself to a low paying job after gradutation, and generally living beyond my means, I have accumulated approximately $16,000 in debt. Right now I am starting graduate school (which will result in a big, fat student loan) and am trying to save up for a house, so it is imperitive that this debt be chipped away. I have tried to limit my use of credit cards, and have only used them a handful of times this year. I keep telling myself that the debt that I am in is the highest it will ever be, and it will only get smaller and smaller. It’s just hard to stay positive sometimes when I think about how much money is being allocated to paying off things I may have bought 3 years ago. But little by little, I know I will be able to pay it down…
