I'm doing 2 things
I have been looking at Alaskan jobs on the net.
I definitely want to live in Alaska.
I must, however make some preparations first.
My aging mom will have to be certain that my brother and nephews and their families (all within 10 minutes of her home) will continue to look in on her and help her when she needs.
Today, on a curious note…...I typed “I want to live in Alaska” in the search window.
Guess what happened.
I am at home in the cold, I have lived in extreme cold climes before and embraced it.
I enjoy remoteness and isolation.
I can do withoutall the trappings of the big city.
I want to do this while I am still young enough to establish a firm foothold and build a foundation for the remainder of my life…..in the place I call “Paradise”
At this very moment, I must leave the computer to travel to see an old friend who is dying of cancer.
A fellow cowboy, wrangler, family man…..and a good friend.
I do not wish to die in some city in some cold hospital hooked up to machines.
I have no other family, save brother and his sons….no wife or children. I am happiest in my times spent in the wood…or mountains. I hunt, fish…farm….
I studied geology and range wildlife management in college once…in the last century.
I will return here to read more….and to seek what insights and comments I can find.
