Just waiting for tickets to the “Magic” tour to be announced…..have seen Bruce more times than I can count, dating back to 1976 in Boston.

Sing backup for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Untitled

After 18 months of training, I’m seriously ready to do it. I’m a stable 40-something attractive and fitness-minded woman, husband extremely suppportive, kids have outgrown me, respects her body, no drinking or drugs, extremely familiar with the material after listening for the last 32 years to probably every song Bruce has ever recorded. I’d be willing to be Patti’s vocal understudy when she needs to take the night off to tend to the kids in Jersey. It wouldn’t hurt to give a working woman the chance to break out of the 9-5. I’m should have pursued this 30 years ago and am currently dying at my desk and need a miracle.

Mission Accomplished

It’s been 18 months of ecstacy. After facing the fear over a year ago, I actually found out that I have some talent for this and gigged out a few times as part of a trio/quartet at the end of last year. Now I am addicted, but have separated from my accompaniest (keyboardist) due to some differences in direction and am searching for other like-minded to jam with. I am looking for as many opportunities as I can to sing out – which has been virtually none since I am tied to my desk all day. The joy and jubilation of my success has been mixed with the feeling that had I followed my heart 30 years ago I may have made a profession of this. I am still hopeful that I can make a go of this in the future. I refuse to accept that I am too old. Any other late bloomers out there? If only Springsteen was looking for additional backup support on his upcoming tour, that would truly be my dream of a lifetime. Again, not looking for fortune or fame, just looking to do what I love for a living and escape life passing me by every day as I sit in my office wondering what could have been and how to make it happen today.
