learn Swedish (read all 2 entries…)
Untitled 2 years ago

So my year is up and I’ve learned a bit of Swedish. I want to continue learning, so a new goal is to make room in my too busy schedule for it. At least I’ve secured a summer job that allows me to be exposed to the language through written documents and coworkers who speak it!

Donate my hair to Locks of Love
Untitled 2 years ago

I’ve had long hair all my life, but I was finally convinced to cut it. A group at my college was hosting a night for people to cut their hair and donate it to Locks of Love or shave their head for World’s Greatest Shave. It was such an amazing night! I don’t know the exact numbers but a bunch heads were lightened that night. There were even 7 girls that SHAVED their heads! I felt so lucky to be a part of this group that were being so selfless. And they were doing it all in support of one of their group members that was fighting cancer. If anyone ever gets an opportunity to participate in an event like this I strongly suggest it. It’s something you’ll never forget! And even if you don’t have an event like this you should donate your hair anyway because it’s an amazing feeling to know that you’ve helped someone!

read a book a week
Untitled 3 years ago

So far I’ve been reading at least a book a week. For the next two weeks I need to read 5 books a week in order to finish my book club. I only have two left to go for this week!
