I’ve done it for clients—but its not just having a high PageRank, its ranking for what matters. A site with a lower PageRank could still easily beat you on Google if they have better, more trusted links that say the right things.

PageRank is nice though, because it determines how often Google will crawl your site.

Its better to think about who your customers are and how you can reach out to them than sweating what the toolbar says.
