Visited Japan this summer and attended days 12 and 15 of the Nagoya basho. There’s nothing quite like showing up at the start of the day, during the lower division bouts, and moving down to ringside seats to watch. (Later in the day, the rightful owners come to kick you out and you have to go back to the nosebleed section.) And the energy in the air for the last bouts of day 15 was just unbelievable. Go watch a full day of sumo. You won’t regret it.
