Making an effort 2 years ago

We spent two weeks with family. Sent pictures to the kids uncle. I wrote emails to my Grandma, my sister, & my cousin. If I manage to call my mom or answer my ex-husbands calls today I might actually feel proud.

As much as I wish my mom was next door 2 years ago

There are tragic conditions to be met before she can commit to leaving California. & Honestly I’d rather my Grandparents live happily and securely another 20 years, even if it meant never living near my mom again. But we do miss everyone.
