Back to thumbing through my copy of Your First Triathlon. I bought it last year and am so excited that I get to make use of it now! Great info, great training plans. Going to the library today to make some photocopies. Progressing amazingly well in the swimming class I’ve been taking; will move from Level I (beginner) to Level III (advanced) next term, which begins in a couple weeks. Keys to great swimming? Form and relaxation. Actually happy that it’s taken me until now to learn; this way, there is no room for the acqusition of bad habits!

Now that I have a bike, this goal seems less like a pipe dream and more like a thrilling possibility.

It was magical enough to be whisked away to Cape May on my birthday—to spend half of the day cycling from the center of town to Cape May Point. So you can imagine the sheer excitement I felt when I was presented with a bike a few days later, also in honor of my birthday. It’s been 12 years since I’ve riden regularly. I’m glad to have at it again.
