Learn more about God
Untitled 2 years ago

The only advice I can give is to (a) read a book about the attributes of God [You may be interested in Knowledge of the Holy; it’s extremely complex, but very thorough.], (b) take a class, or (3) just ask someone you trust who knows what he’s about, and who will be honest and nonjudgemental.

document real emotions
Untitled 2 years ago

I cannot keep a diary to save my life. (You know, the ‘this happened, that happened’ kind of diary.) It turns out I’m a very unfaithful journalist. Well, about a year ago, I started using a prayer journal. It’s nothing complicated: I just write out all my thoughts and feelings to God. I think they are the most honest, real emotions I am capable of having; He can see right through me, into my heart and mind, and I don’t hold anything back. I can’t pray for more than thirty seconds otherwise without getting distracted, so it’s is my way of staying focused. You should give it a try. :]

accept people for who they are
Untitled 2 years ago

“When others demand that we become the people they want us to be, they force us to destroy the person we really are. It’s a subtle kind of murder. The most loving parents and relatives commit this murder with smiles on their faces.”

- Jim Morrison

[Note: His biography is fascinating.]
