Tonight, I managed to run for one and a half miles, which is more than the previous 1.11 miles. This is good news for my quest to run a mile in 8 minutes again after about 20 years.
There is no running knowledge behind this. My thinking is that if I can sustain running for 2 miles, then I can push myself to run 1 mile at a faster pace in subsequent runs. So, for now my goal is to run 2 miles.
As I get closer to my running goals, I probably ought to invest some time learning about running. But, I think I’m still a ways off from what would be considered a “serious runner”. All in due time.

I’ve not run in about 16 years. Recently, I figured out a way of running without aggravating old injuries. My best time since resuming was tonight. 1.11 miles in 10:47 minutes. I’ll be happy to reach 8 minutes. At that point, if I think I have more to give, then we’ll set another goal.

Starting a traditional business is expensive and is not guaranteed to succeed. On top of that, as the owner, you may be the last one to get paid, especially in the current economy.
Rather than all that, I am opting for the home based business route through USANA. I figure that any business will come down to selling a product or service. I might as well make selling the only thing that I do and outsource the accounting, shipping, and product manufacturing to USANA.
Is it an easy way out? Possibly. If I’m any good at selling, then I can make a decent income. Otherwise, I probably would have failed after considerable investment and time in a traditional business.
