How I did it: We definitely benefited from having insurance and our own health saving account, which we fund with approximately $1,000 each year. After insurance, we ended up paying $1,400 to our clinic, $300 to the anesthesiologist, and $30 to the neonatalogist. We owed the hospital $1,700, but applied for financial aid and received a 75% reduction. We arranged payments and were able to pay this off in three months. Read how I did it…
How I did it: It's pretty self-explanatory. I read! I tried to keep on a good pace (about two books a week) and switch between "fluffy" books and classic tomes to keep my interest piqued. I read a great deal of post-apocalyptic fiction as it is my favorite genre. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Every year at college, I'd dumpster dive on move-out day. People would throw out the greatest things (couches, rugs, microwaves, TVs, books, rugs, futons, lamps, new hygiene products, food, etc.) just because they were too lazy to transport them home.
