Like most Hanson fans, Hanson touched me in a way no other group or person has. I was going through some tough times in my life and they came out.. and it’s kind of like their music showed me that despite the things that come towards me I can overcome them.. just like Hanson overcame being turned down by music labels, I could overcome the things in my life. So since they were such an influence in my life I wanted to get a Hanson tattoo.. actually 3.. I currently have two of the 3.
The problem was I was a major aichmophobic> aka a person afraid of needles. However I decided the bet thing was to get a tattoo in a place where I couldn’t see the needle. So my first tattoo was simple.. just a symbol about 3 inches big on my right shoulder blade… It took about 20 minutes. It wasn’t bad at all and since I couldn’t see it as it was being done I was less freaked out.
A few months later I decided I wanted my next tattoo which is yet again another symbol on my lower back with some tribal work on it. This one took about 2 hours and hurt like crazy… trust me I cried
The next and final tattoo I want to get is something involving the Hanson symbol and and Angel wings.. Broken Angel is one of my favorite songs and I think it kind of explains me.
SO here is the story of the tattoos and what they will mean to me….
The one I want to get on my left shoulder blade will signify what I was and the struggles I was going through prior to being a Hanson fan.. the right shoulder as it is just the symbol will signify Hanson’s introduction to my life..
The lower back tattoo I have signifies the person I grew into… the Hanson symbol as the center.. and the tribal work depicting me emotionally and mentally growing..
So that’s my story..
Trust me if you want a Hanson tattoo.. go for it.. even if you are afraid of needles.. you won’t regret it
once I get some pics maybe I can post them…
