I took a class sometime ago, but I’ve been meaning to keep at it. Those DVDs from alienthink.com might help with anatomy.

I got one of those “value packs” with an Epiphone Special II Les Paul inside. Amp is crappy, but since all I’m doing right now is working on my fretting, it’s no big deal.

Next step: find a teacher

I was at Brook Mays last Saturday. I was strumming this $70 Playone Single Cutaway. I thought, “Yeah, I could do this.”

I’m still trying to determine which is the best way to go: buy one of those “value pack” starter kits or look for something used off of Craigslist. I suspect that this procrastination is just fear of taking the next step.
