Well, I finally transferred to the U of MN. That was the next big milestone in my plan. I thought it would take me another 2.5 yrs to graduate once I got to the U. Turns out I could graduate by the end of 2010! However, I’m going to continue through the spring of 2011 and try to incorporate a semester-long study abroad. If I do that, I could pick up a foreign language. I’ll take semester of a language here at the college in Fall 2010 and take another semester in a study abroad.

How I did it: My best friend got a nanny job out in NYC, so I just kept watching Orbitz for a good ticket price. She actually lives in a suburb, so we took the train in for the day and walked around or took the subway around. Then took the train home. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I joined the organization at www.couchsurfing.org. I booked a ticket some place and was looking for a hotel that I could afford when I remembered my goal. I sent out an email and the first person I requested a stay with responded. That was that! We exchanged contact info, showed up at her house and we got on famously. Read how I did it…
Here’s an update of the debt status.
1. Credit card – NO DEBT! YEAH!
2. Car Loan – Paid off in August
3. Student Loan(s) – Still collecting them. :( I’m not going to count this in my “get out of debt” program.
