After sitting on the idea of a tattoo since college, I decided to finally get it. It is bigger than I expected, but I love how it looks.
For those of you thinking about a tattoo… SIT ON THE IDEA FOR A LONG TIME. On the way over to the tattoo place, my best friend reminded me that I wanted stars as tattoo when I was in college. I totally forgot about wanting those and I’m SO GLAD I didn’t get that. I gave myself a year or two of thinking of the idea of getting it. I also found a guy who specializes in the type of script that is on my back (it’s ancient Filipino alibata/baybayin script). Aleks at Dream Jungle Tattoo in Long Beach, CA =)

Tattoo minus the purple outline.
Think about it and put some meaning into what you really want to get. I thought of words that best describe how I am. The joke around my group of friends is that I’m “soulful” so I picked the word soul (also because your soul is a big part of who you are if you’re looking for even deeper meaning). I’m so glad I waited and took the time to find someone who appreciated what they were tattooing too. It made it even more meaningful because the guy knew so much about the script/writing I picked. So I guess if you’re thinking about “trees” you should get someone who loves tattooing trees. I think you get the picture =)
And there it is! =)

So far, so good. Not sure when I added this to my 43 things, but I’ve lost 15 pounds since I started dieting hard in March. It’s been a great accomplishment for me and I’m noticing the differences. I’m almost there… just gotta work harder!

I had to get it dyed darker but it works. No more highlights and no more yucky-ness. Very dark and adult =)

Let’s just say he’s a better friend then he is a boyfriend. Once we got the actions on point and were honest with each other I feel at ease knowing that we’re on the same page and there are no mixed signals. We’re good!

I’ve heard so many mixed things about this that I’ve decided to put this on the backburner til I later…

If you guys have the money to spend, Costco does it for $75 dollars and they give you trial pairs to check out. I was lucky because the girl helping me hooked me up with all kinds of colors. I’ve decided on Violet and/or Hazel. I tried so many of them!!!
They even give you free solution and cases! So go there if you want to get it done =) (asuming that Costco is in your area and they have the eye doctor like the one here in Los Angeles)

At first, I was a little worried about getting a tattoo because you know, I still answer to my parents. My mom flipped out when I got an additional piercing on my ear and it wasn’t even cartlidge or anything like that (and when I did that she was really mad again) anyway… we were out on Sunday and we were having a good day and I decided to bring it up with her… and she said it was cool!
This is a big accomplishment more then you even know =)

I decided to call this turn heads in the fall, so that I can really seriously start thinking about losing this excess baggage! Although it’s not summer white pants, maybe it can be like cute small sweaters =)

I met this boy (or should I say man) through work. He’s very sweet, very handsome, and is totally hot!!! haha… While getting to know each other for work related purposes, I threw out my age (because he asked) but I think I threw him off because I’m a little younger then him (actually I’m a lot younger then him). I know that age should not matter, but let’s just say… we’re hovering around father age. I’ve never been attracted to someone that much older then me.
I know that age does not matter, but I feel so immature compared to him. He’s helping my work for this big fundraising event we’re having, and my co-worker was smiling all big and she was like “He says hi.”
Also, I send him these one lined emails every so often and his responses are very… nice
I’m so smitten… but not taken over I wish I had the balls to just ask him out. A friend says that “he probably thinks you have a problem with the age thing.”
Haha… but I do.

Since I got back from NY a couple weeks ago, I’ve been having the worst time sleeping. A co-worker said that it’s because I was excited about the trip, but the trip has been over for nearly a month or so. I hate waking up tired you know? A couple of other things have have made this really hard. For the last 5 years I think The Simpsons would run at 11PM here in Los Angeles, and now it changed from 11PM to 11:30PM. By the time it’s over it’s 12AM and I’m still awake.
I need to sleep early!!!
