How I did it
How to get rid of weeds in my garden
It took me

very very relieved

How I did it: Hired a great landscaper and they got the MASSIVE weeds knocked out in two days.We selected a landscaper based on personal recommendation.  They used a combination of gas powered weed wackers and hand tools.  They're going to spray certain areas to try and keep it under control. How to turn spare bedroom into nursery
It took me
6 weeks
It made me
Happy!

How I did it: With help from friends, we removed the rug and trim, masked and painted the room, then installed laminate flooring, reinstalled new trim, and my best friend painted a beautiful mural for our soon-to-arrive daughter.  We picked out some furniture, assembled and put in place : book case, changing table, crib, and rocking chair + ottoman. Finished hanging curtains yesterday. It's a totally transformed space! Read how I did it…

How to earn a masters degree
It took me
3 years
It made me
Very satisfied

How I did it: My employeer paid for everything so that is what set me on the path. I had wanted an advanced degree.  It was a question of a lot of extra work, understanding how I learn best and using that to maximize my learning abilities in class, and just applying myself as needed to get the good grades. I had a desire to learn the material which helped a lot too. Taking classes at night, every other week, a single class at a time, made it easie… Read how I did it…

Remodel my office
Done did it

Basement office, was already finished, but tore out carpet, replaced with laminate engineered flooring (easy to install), painted a nice deep matte hunter green.

Moved mission desk down here, wired up computers/internet, hung new closet door, new knobs on both doors, laminate flooring on stairway & landing.

Installed music cd cabinet on wall, apothecary to hold misc cd-roms, vintage stereo system for awesome tunes, 3 tall bookcases behind desk from Target give place a studious look. All wood is cherry walnut or espresso giving a rich look, hung pictures of vintage full size jeep advertisements, and best friend’s art.

Only problem is that it’s a cluttered mess! Need to get rid of crap, and get more storage space for desk type items.

successfully cook a pan of cornbread
Dunnit

Just baked my first pan of cornbread to go along with a pot of my chili. The cornbread turned out great. I simply got a container of cornmeal and used the recipe on the back. Was a hoot to see it turn out as I don’t consider myself a ‘baker’ :)
