Did this happen at all?
Stephanie, I applaud your initiative in the first place for trying to take this up.
But I know for me, that it is unlikely that I will ever bother with this idea again. I was excited the first time ‘round, but now have become too skeptical of any attempt to even consider it. The critical mass has gone. Our time has passed. For this to happen, I think it will take a new group of people on a completely different forum.
Either that, or a great leader.

Andrew,
I don’t mean to flame you, but there are some valid points here.
I was ready and had my family of five ready to turn up last Thursday. All I needed was a ‘Let’s do it!’ and we would have been there. I am sure that there are plenty of others here in the same boat.
I found myself asking ‘What happened?’ and the first thing we hear from you is about a ringtone.
In the spirit of GTD, what’s the next action?
Here is a suggestion: why don’t you create another poll, put down a set time, place and activity and simply ask if people can/will do it. If you get more yeses then nos then do it! Otherwise ask for more input and try again.

Whatever we do, we should do it instantly. No milling about waiting for the right time. We should wait on the fringes and all run to the ‘Hot Spot’ on a signal (such as the church bell across the road from flinders street station?)
Also a bit scarier, dealing with all the ‘what if I’m the only one thoughts’. Would look heaps cooler for an observer too.
