i have a friend who can’t cook for crap…. but she can boil potatoes and throw in the other necessary ingredients while someone else mashes, someone else rolls, someone else cuts into pieces, someone else boils (again), and someone else prepares the sauce. It’s wonderful!! Especially if you sneak some ricotta in while your non-cooking friend (or you) isn’t paying attention. It’s surprisingly simple.

just don’t give yourself any deadlines… take as much time as it takes to get to all the places that have crossed your mind. and don’t subsist on doritos and coke; i’ve tried that and while enjoyable in the short term the rest stops aren’t nearly close together enough for that kind of diet.

i did it about 2 years ago. the lower caffeine is just the start. there are so many green teas to choose from (especially in bulk), and it’s an amazing feeling to wake up, not have your morning beverage, but not feel like a disaster. i can’t say i feel the effects of the antioxidants, but hey, i still have a few more years for that…
