Lose 10 pounds
Woo! Goal achieved! 2 years ago

So, basically, I didn’t meet my goal of hitting the gym more often; I only went once this week. But I HAVE scaled back on my overeating…and I’m reaping the benefits now :-). I’m officially at 155 pounds, which is 10 pounds from my initial weight. I’m excited to be seeing results for pretty much the first time in YEARS. Not to be arrogant, but…

HELL YES, 155 LBS! I’m the shit. lol

Yay! Goal achieved! 2 years ago

Well, this was probably the easiest step out of my three-step weight loss goal. I wanted to lose five pounds, and now I have. I’m pretty content with that. I actually lost 6 lbs, though. I’m not going to get TOO excited though because I still haven’t worked out at all. I lost this 6 lbs only by eating less. I had been eating at least 2 plates at dinner every day, but lately I’ve been having only one or else some smaller, low-calorie meal. One thing that I didn’t plan on that affected my eating was that I didn’t have transportation to the grocery store, and I only have NutriGrain Yogurt bars on hand as snacks instead of candy…Both of those things cut out opportunities to overeat since my food supply has been limited and it also stopped me from getting unnecessary calories from candy. My next goal is to lose 10 lbs (cumulatively, of course) and to do that I will have to do more than just eat NORMAL amounts of food. I plan to limit my fast food intake a little more, cook my own dinners as often as possible, and hit the gym at least 3 days a week (hopefully). I think the hardest of those things will be getting to the gym…I usually find other things to do instead lol. I made going to the gym easier by choosing activities that actually interest me: I don’t just get on a treadmill like everyone tells you to do, I play racquetball with my friends. I do get on the elliptical machine, though. It’s not as bad since I at least get to have fun with racquetball first. I also do reps on the weight machines so I can build muscle along with burning fat. Yay for meeting my first goal!!! Wish me luck with the rest, and good luck to all of you!

Goal 1: 160 lbs. DONE
Goal 2: 155 lbs. In progress

I'm just now starting my goal of losing weight 2 years ago

Height: 5’3”
My starting weight: 165 lbs
First goal: 160 lbs
Final goal: 140 lbs

I’m really gonna have to try hard…I’ve always had a hard time getting the weight off. I usually can lose about 5 pounds and then I get stuck. I’m going to work on pushing myself harder. I think I’ve always sabotaged myself because I’m scared of failing at this goal; I’ve failed numerous times and I’m sick of failing. I mean, it’s easier to just blow off your plan and say you never wanted to lose weight anyway than it is to admit that you didn’t follow through, right? I just see myself having a hard time because I sort of stop myself from even trying because I don’t believe anything will be different from the last time I failed. Oh well, like I said, I’m pushing myself harder this time and I’m going to be consistent with working out. I also will be getting my eating habits in shape; recently I started to just eat whatever I want even if it’s bad because I’d been telling myself I don’t care about my weight. The truth is that I DO care.
