So every year, my husband and I barely make it through Christmas and then January comes around, and he’s always out of work. It’s been this way for 3 years due to the labor work he does. I hope it will be better now that he’s working for an actual company, that works indoors, and we’re both in college, etc. But I never know. So I would like to get a good savings of about $1000, just to have in case of emergencies and for when January rolls around every year. It’s my goal to do this by the end of December this year and keep it going, well, forever!

Took Neil to Green Beauty and Day Spa last night to get his haircut. For $25 he got a scalp and neck massage with the awesome smelling oil, shampoo and conditioner and an hour long haircut. I loved the place too. As my reward for when I complete the SELF challenge, I plan on going there for a six hour spa day which includes a hair cut and style. The end of the challenge is three months away, which I feel is perfect, because my hair and bangs with finally be at a good place and my hair will need a trim and style. Plus, I can get the hair style I want that will grow out into my dream style. Here’s a photo of what I’m thinking of getting done.. I’ll post my dream hair style after this one. (This one was the image where the length of my hair is closest to where my will probably be by May.) (oh found the image via madradhair’s public photo album – if this is you, thank you!)
This sort of ties into my weight loss goal. Once I reach my goal of getting under 120 lbs. I plan on spending $500 on new clothes. I guess to some people this isn’t much at all, but I’ve never done this in my life. I’m very frugal and very thrifty about clothing. Plus I hate labels and trends. I dress for what I do, which is alot of outdoor activities and my artwork and crafting. I love to shop at thrift stores, ebay, independent designers via livejournal and american apparel, ll bean, life is good and no sweat. It’s going to be fun for me to actually have a good fuctional wardrobe!
