Go to a leather bar
w00t

So, after a couple drinks, someone asked if anyone had been to a leather bar. After we realized that none of us had, we decided (after another drink) that tonight was the night.

Off we went to the Minneapolis Eagle. There were some amazing people there – I guess I never put 2 and 2 together to figure out that people actually wore leather at the leather bar. I’m pretty sure I saw the guy from the Village People (the motorcycle/bdsm guy).

We danced for like 3 hours straight. There were no worries about if they were into us, or if we were into them…we just danced and had fun.

All around, an amazing experience – and I’d highly suggest that everyone try it once…preferably with plenty of alcohol.

build my own computer
Untitled

Totally worth it. I bought all my own parts (newegg.com was great and cheap), and assembled it using nothing other than the manuals in the parts with a little help from a “build a computer” wikibook. It was a lot easier than I though it would be. Now, it’s happily running Kubuntu Linux, I saved a couple hundred dollars, and I have a better understanding of what’s in my computer.

get straight A's
Untitled

Finally! I’ve gotten As before, but this semester (coincidently, my first semester of grad school) I got all As. I’m just waiting for it to all be finalized…and then I’ll find some way to celebrate. Now, I just need to continue to get straight As.
