Ok so we really didn’t go to Hawaii! But we did have fun taking this picture at the SwapShop in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
I was watching the Miss Georgia Pageant last night. It was really scaled down compared to the Miss USA or Miss America pageants. I have always loved watching the pageants. As early as I can remember, I have been watching pageants on TV. I am the youngest of 5 girls, so if there was a pageant on, we were all watching and wishing. I almost participated in the Miss Georgia Teen when I was in high school but I kinda talked myself out if it. I was so awkward back then, I didn’t get confident until after I graduated high school. Anyway, I admire the kinds of young women who have the confidence to compete. It takes a lot of guts to walk around on stage with high heels and a bikini?! Anyway, that was my first time watching a local pageant on TV and it was alright. Miss GA 2004 was the first black woman to wear the crown for Ga, ever. She was pretty, and she was a little thicker than you would expect a contestant to be, but she was in poise. My last hope for competing in a pageant is as MRS. America, LOL, maybe on day right?
