- I had my follow-up visit with my surgeon and everything is going great! (I knew that already, but good to get a professional confirmation!) Also, she had received the second pathology test (the one that had to go to California) and while I didn’t score as low as I would have liked, my results came out as “Intermediate Risk” for recurrence without chemotherapy. THe number was low enough that I feel comfortable passing on the chemo, because it seems that the side effects of chemotherapy would outweigh any possible risk reduction.
- Figures out how to knot my sock on two circular needles instead of four double points. I’ve tried almost every way there is to knit socks, and I think I’m going to like this way a lot!
- Tried some new wine (to celebrate my fairly good new on the pathology front) and it was yummy! It’s a pinot noir from Brandborg Cellars, which just happens to be where my daughter’s new boyfriend works. Which is of course, why I bought it. First wine I’ve had from Oregon, I believe. Good stuff.

Second mystery in Monica Ferris’ Needlecraft Mystery series. I liked this one better than the first. Ferris does a good job developing her characters and they are quite likable. I’m happy to find another good series….it’s a long one!

- We took a two-mile walk with the dog. I’m feeling almost back to a regular amount of energy, which makes me really happy.
- Attended a Bible study which some old friends invited me to. It was really a nice group. Next step: I think I’m going to go to a service at their church, which is a big step for me. But sounds like the church might be just what I am looking for philosophically.
- Cute cats! My friend A (who had last night’s meeting) has four cats. They are so friendly and soft….can’t have a cat here any more due to The Boy’s Really Big Allergy to them.
