How I did it: I was referred to see a periodontist because I had "deep pockets" (not the good kind, the kind in my gums). How I did it: By far, the easiest way to do this is to go to a dog wash where you can bathe your dog in an elevated bath tub. The one that we use has a little halter-type thing too attached to the wall with a suction cup which keeps the dog from jumping out of the tub.
