During my law studies I always told myself “I can’t wait to graduate, I’ll finally be able to read for pleasure again”. Was I wrong. I graduated 7 months ago and started a 9 to 5 job, and I don’t think I have started reading any book. Not that I don’t have interesting things to read, I just seem to put it off with lame excuses such as being tired and needing some time for brainless things. I have to say that there is rarely any night that I come home before 23h, but still. What kind of brainless? Series, obviously. I don’t have a TV at home but have nevertheless picked up the nasty habit of watching some sort of series before going to bed. Besides being addicted and looking forward to Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, HIMYM and all of these, I also find that I simply can’t go to bed without having had this moment of “automatic pilot” anymore. People who recognize this and can give me helpful tips are welcome to comment. Thanks!

How I did it: First step was to analyse my actual meat & fish intake and to see how much I had to change. Didn't turn out to be that much after all. Then I started choosing only the vegetarian options when eating out (which is quite easy in Belgium because every place has at least 1 dish with just vegetables). The trickiest part is to start cooking without meat or fish, but once you get experimenting with lentils, chickpeas etc, you'll find yoursel… Read how I did it…
How I did it: A girl I knew had to "get rid" of her 3 months old cat because she was moving. Since my housemate is not coming back until September, I didn't think about adopting a cat just yet. However, the girl contacted me, probably knowing that I couldn't say no. I thought about just going over there and having a look, probably not liking the cat anyway, but I fell in love. I persuaded my housemate via e-mail :) I've had him now for 4 days and am no… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Got myself a part time job to be able to combine it with my university studies, and moved away from my parents.Made sure my rent was not too expensive, and didn't spend too much money in the beginning. Read how I did it…

It’s very very very difficult and I realise this. I might change it into “only take a flight once a year” but I am really trying to think about the consequences of my acts and not take flights carelessly!
Wow, this application form is just such bureaucracy!! It will take me all month to complete everything – the worst part is finding all the official statements, why can’t they just believe I speak 4 languages fluently? :)
I’m going for it, though! YES!
