I'm doing 43 things
I have started a secret society that is so secret that no-one else knows about it except me. But this advanced level of covertness has proven very unsatisfactory. As a result I have decided to tell people about it, thus making it a non secret society. It is called “The Holy Martyrs of the League of Ireland” and is a society for those who do not have enough pain in their lives and seek to augment their suffering by regularly attending League football matches here in the Emerald Isle. The standard is poor. Very poor. Hence the suffering.
All you have to do to join is google ‘league of ireland’ – pick a team – develop an irrational affection for them – and finally, promise never to discuss it on pain of deeeeeath. Go on, you know you want to! My own choice has been Cork City FC, otherwise known as The Rebels. I’m aiming to double the current membership (1) by the end of the year. It could be you!!

It’s not what’s stated as the goal but today I took receipt of a new digital photo camera. I have been going to a lot of football games and have been snapping pics with my old compact. This is largely a waste of time so I have bought this second hand pro camera with a long lens and a mate of mine is going to get me a press pass for the matches. I think I may be becoming a professional photographer!

- for word on a mortgage. If I get one then I can go and get some place to live … somewhere. I took a day last week so spin around Wicklow and look at some places. None of them were right but if I keep looking I reckon I’ll find something soon. Please, please, please let them give me the money!
