How I did it: I love travel so I did online research for a couple of weeks beforehand to determine the route and places to stop along the way. I recommend doing this with someone you love and can communicate with. My friend and I had our moments of frustration but we are able to work through them and have a lot of fun. Completed my Open Water Certification in Lake Pleasant (brrr!) and had an adventure in Egypt which concluded with a stay at Sharm el Sheik, my first dive was in the Red Sea!
It was scary but exhilerating and I’m SO doing this again!

Today I started a weekend class for the 1st half of my PADI certification. Although it’s scary and bizarre to imagine breathing underwater, I’m extremely excited about exploring the awesome world of inner space below the oceans.
exploring the Eternal City was an adventure I highly recommend, I met a friendly stranger who drove me around, took me to dinner & got me into the Borghese Gallery without a reservation!
