Right now I’ve been recording at home. I’m not sure the album will be “finished” by the end of the year, but a good chunk of it will. I’m happy with the sound quality I’m getting, but there’s a lot of work still to be done. I should probably spend less time writing about it and more time doing it.

It was a long road, but it’s finally a chapter in my life that has an ending. I’d have to say, looking back we had more good times than bad, but I’m very happy with where I’m at. There were some things that happened that I just couldn’t ever get past and I’m glad to be moving forward even if I occassionally like to look back. She’s a good person, but for whatever reasons, we weren’t what the other needed. I hope she finds happiness and fulfillment elsewhere and I wish her the very best.
The material is written. There are some rough edges, but I’d say I’ve probably got 20 songs or so that need recording and I seem to be writing more every day. From there I can weed through and find the right album cuts. I’ve been rehearsing the material a lot as I find that’s essential to success in recording it. Never pay recording fees to practice your material! Then again, I haven’t decided if I’m going to go into any studios or just record at home. I’ve got another month or so to figure all of that out.
