I’m pretty concerned about our rapid consumption of fossil fuels – I reckon my daughter will see the effective end of the oil supply and that it won’t be pretty.

I reckon one of these could supply 60%+ of our electricity needs overall. Neat. Just need the money now.

I mean – I can recite it (the total energy in a steadily flowing fluid system is a constant along the flow path. Because the total energy is constant, an increase in the fluid’s speed must therefore be matched by a decrease in its pressure), I can use it, but I’m still not convinced that there isn’t a more practical, explaination. Everytime I look at it I think the decrease in pressure due to the increased gas velocity is compensated for exactly by an increased particle density. Maybe Feynman will help…

Caught the right train, found a seat, slept ( see other things to do) and got home without incident.
