I spent a whole bunch of money on Monday on birthday gifts for my niece and nephew as well as Christmas gifts. Yesterday, however, I spent NO money :D and I am hoping to do the same today.. Tomorrow, I work, so I’ll buy food, but hopefully that will be it. I feel really good about have a $0 day.

How I did it: Just got over the fact that I can't tan. It is the way I am. It was how I was born and if I were meant to be tan, I would have been born that way! :DReally, though, it is tough, but you just have to accept who you are and understand the changes that you can make are temporary. Tanning will make you tan for a while but it will also make your skin look terrible in the long run. Read how I did it…
How I did it: It took me a long time to actually go get my external hard drive to back my system up. I got a new laptop in August and I bought an external hard drive with it. I did not back up then. I just took all my files that were important and put them on the hard drive. So, I got my Windows 7 upgrade and I decided to upgrade my new laptop on Tuesday. I felt like I had to backup just in case. It was a lot easier than I expected. My computer pretty … Read how I did it…
How I did it: It took me a long time to do this... I have an emotional attachment to THINGS that I am trying to get rid of. So going through my clothes and getting rid of things was a good first step for me.To begin with, I put all my clothes on the bottom rack of my closet and as I wore them, I put them onto the top rack. I also went through things from time to time to slowly put them into a bag to donate. After I wore a lot of the things, I had my fr… Read how I did it…

So, I thought my salad wouldn’t be big enough.. Spent $10 on more salad today and $5 on Starbucks. (it was a treat, haven’t had it in a looong time :]) Turns out my salad was big enough.. In fact, only a few people actually ate it, so my $30 salad went to waste :[ Wasted $30 really bums me out..
Today was a FAIL. I bought a blu-ray player that I got an amazing deal on. Basically, it was $200 at my boyfriend’s work, but it was on sale and with my boyfriend’s employee discount, I paid only $108 on it (after tax). Good luck finding a blu-ray player that cheap again for a while. Also, got gas = $25… So I spent a lot of money today.. Tomorrow, I have to go get birthday presents for my niece and nephew’s party on Saturday and I have work, so I am sure I will spend a bit on food. But, none on tuesday. We still have quite a bit of food since last week’s grocery shopping so I hope we can get by on that…
One week down:
Today, I went to Target (my nightmare!) to get a huge bowl to use to take my mixed salad to our family’s Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, I found a rubbermaid one for $8 with a lock top. I also bought my little sister’s Christmas presents and a larger binder for my anatomy class. I did go outside of my desired list because I found a breast cancer awareness daily planner for 2010 on clearance (it was $6 and if you look in one of the previous entries, I wanted to get one, so I was glad to find one on sale) and this mini palette I got my little sister for Christmas was only $5 so I got myself one too. I then went to the grocery store with $20 budget for my salad (big family=big salad, lol) and I stayed within it :D
Yesterday, I spent $20 on food. $5 at work and $15 when my boyfriend and I went out with our friends.
That urge to spend money has subsided somewhat. I found a pair of hello kitty pj pants that I liked but I resisted, telling myself that I have plenty of pants for bed! High five for me :]
And finally, Thursday, I paid for my renter’s insurance, but that was the only thing I spent money on. :]
All in all, not too bad, but I spent $57 on food outside the house. And today is not over yet, I still have to go to work…
