I was signed up for this in 2004 as an Intensive Professional Development scheme to complete my Full Membership more speedily, I have yet to start! THere always seems to be a more pressing priority and whilst obtaining it will not change the way I work, it will be a sense of achievement.

I have always struggled with my weight, as far back as I can remember I have been on various diets – when I say diets I mean healthy eating and exercise I’ve never done the fad diets – I still remember my mum putting me on diets when I came home from school for the holidays at 13. At uni I got into rowing and the weight stayed off and I was training 6 times a week; then when I graduated and got a job it all went on again. My weight went up and down over the years. THen I met the man I wanted to marry; after 3 years he left me saying that he’d gone looking for rings but was going to propose on the condition I lost weight. Realising that he couldn’t love me for me he left and broke my heart. He claimed that he had never found me attractive and couldn’t be with me because of it.
I lost about 2 stone in a month when he left but a month after my parents started to divorce; my sister mis-carried and my gran was diagnosed with cancer – being a comfort eater and to deal with the stress I began to eat again.
Things appear to be slighty calmer now so I have signed up to British Military Fitness to start my regime. I am not holding out for miracles but I have to start somewhere.
I have around 7 stone to lose so lets see how it goes!
