The girls trying out for competition had to time their miles. I’m trying out for basketball sideline, but I decided to run with them just for fun. I hadn’t timed my mile since before track season, so I was hoping I’d gotten it down to 7:00. HAHA. My time was 8:03, but I got boxed in until about halfway through (when I took the lead), so I think I could’ve gone much faster. So I’ll go ahead and mark this off!
Hurray!

I’ve written what, to this point, I would call my masterpiece.
My piano teacher is entering it in a few competitions, and I performed it at a recital yesterday where it was well-recieved.
Hurray!
this is my first year of high school, and middle school was terrible…my confidence was on the floor. I was basically afraid to talk to anyone and didn’t see how anyone could possibly like me. then, funnily enough, my 9th grade PE class gave me back my self esteem! it sounds really cheesy, but now that I am fit (trust me-I gained 2 pounds of muscle and can now run for a long time without stopping), I finally like myself. it also helps that the kids in my class were all really nice and fun. so I’d say one of the easiest ways to gain true confidence in yourself is to try running. just run, and you will be able to clear your mind, relieve stress, lose weight, and gain confidence. I don’t know why, but being fit just helps you like yourself. I guess it’s because you’re not being lazy. I don’t know, but that p.e. class was seriously the best thing that ever happened to me—i gained confidence, which helped me make great friends.
wow. that was long and cheesy. but true!
